Texas Hold'em Overview

The Basics

Texas Hold'em is a community card game where each player receives two private cards and shares five community cards to make the best five-card hand. The game moves through a structured sequence of dealing and betting, giving every player a clear path from the first two cards to the final showdown.

  • Blinds rotate to keep the game moving.
  • Betting rounds occur after the flop, turn, and river.
  • 2-10 players can sit at each table.

Hand Rankings

Understanding hand rankings is essential—from high card to royal flush. Rankings follow standard poker rules, and a printed reference is available at each table.

  1. Royal Flush
  2. Straight Flush
  3. Four of a Kind
  4. Full House
  5. Flush
  6. Straight
  7. Three of a Kind
  8. Two Pair
  9. One Pair
  10. High Card

Table Flow

A typical hand involves dealing, betting rounds, and a showdown. Our dealers manage the flow to keep the game engaging and fair.

  1. Each player receives two private cards.
  2. The flop reveals three community cards.
  3. The turn adds a fourth community card.
  4. The river adds the final community card.
  5. Players reveal hands at the showdown.

Dealers are trained to maintain pace and fairness. Players are encouraged to ask questions at any point.

Other Offline Poker Formats

Variant

Omaha

Omaha is similar to Texas Hold'em but each player receives four private cards and must use exactly two of them with three community cards. This rule creates more complex hand possibilities and rewards careful planning.

Often played as Pot-Limit Omaha, the game encourages active play and frequent decisions. Because players hold more cards, the best hand at showdown is usually stronger than in Texas Hold'em.

Variant

Seven-Card Stud

Seven-Card Stud is a classic game with no community cards. Players receive a mix of face-up and face-down cards over multiple betting rounds, building the best five-card hand from seven total cards.

This variant requires careful observation of opponents' upcards and offers a slower, more strategic pace. It rewards memory, patience, and the ability to read the table.

Variant

Five-Card Draw

A simple and social variant where players receive five cards and may exchange some for new ones in a single draw. It is great for beginners and often played in casual sessions.

The straightforward structure makes it easy to learn while still offering room for bluffing and hand-reading. It is an ideal starting point for anyone new to offline poker.
